1 oz AMBER BOTTLE/DROPPER CAP (except where noted)
An
extract / tincture is a concentrate that results when crude herb is mixed
with a suitable solvent, such
as alcohol
and/or water. Of the different herbal forms, extracts are
generally the most effective because their active ingredients are
more highly concentrated. Extracts also have longer shelf lives than
other herbal preparations. Fresh herbal extracts retain almost all
of their plants original benefits. When administered
sublingually (drops are placed under the tongue), herbal extracts
can be absorbed by the body very quickly. This is an especially
effective way for older adults and people with absorption problems
to use herbs. We like extracts because there is a percentage of
people that do not like the large amounts of alcohol, or cannot have
it. Tinctures (larger amount of alcohol) can preserve herbs that are
insoluble or only partially soluble in water. It is very simple
process to remove the alcohol for use. Place the recommended dosage
in 1/2 cup of hot water, boil 1 minute, let cool and drink.
Please note that it is my firm belief that the body has
the amazing power to heal itself. If we can feed it the
proper natural products that it needs to perform such a
task, then perhaps the natural healing process will
increase. In no way are our products intended to cure or
heal a disease ... they are just to possibly enhance the
body's capabilities. I feel that herbs have a place in
our society, but I also encourage everyone to visit a
certified health care practitioner on a regular basis.
Inform your health care provider of your use of natural
products and that you would like to continue using both
forms of recovery. Most health care providers are now
willing to work with patients and their herbal wishes.
If you are having serious health issues, contact a
qualified doctor immediately.
I hope that you have found our products at Olde Timers'
Herbals to be the best quality and prices.
Thank you and to all...
Happy Herbing!!!!
